After a first delay due to the global pandemic, production of the Gossip Girl remake started at the end of 2020.
The Gossip Girl reboot was released on July 8, 2021 in the United States. It was then released in the UK on August 25, 2021.
How and where to watch the reboot of Gossip Girl?
The Gossip Girl reboot is available exclusively on the HBO Max streaming platform in the USA. You can also watch it on The CW – the platform that originally aired the original Gossip Girl – as well as The CW’s online platforms.
In the UK, Sky has a programming deal with the platform for HBO Originals, but the BBC has scooped the Gossip Girl reboot. It aired on BBC on August 25, 2021 and all episodes before the mid-season break are available on BBC iPlayer.

How many episodes are there of the Gossip Girl reboot?
The Gossip Girl reboot launched on the HBO Max platform with 10 episodes of one hour each. There is a mid-season break so only the first six are currently available in the UK.
The original show ran for six seasons and there were a total of 121 episodes. At the moment, it’s unclear what the future will be beyond the reboot’s original 10 episodes, but we suspect the idea is that it will continue for more than one season.
What should happen when Gossip Girl reboots?
The original cast of Gossip Girl does not reappear – except in mentions and photos – but the revival of Gossip Girl is a continuation of the original with Kristen Bell once again telling Gossip Girl, as she does in the original.
Of course, a lot has changed over the decade since blogging Gossip Girl took a little hiatus, including the rise of social media, which naturally would have made her job a lot easier. This is reflected in the reboot with an anonymous Instagram account taking the blog’s place. The biggest difference with the reboot is that you know who Gossip Girl is – a bunch of Constance teachers trying to take back control.
the Gossip Girl official twitter account – which is very active and therefore worth watching – has confirmed a number of the cast and the characters they play (more on those below) ahead of its launch, and it has also confirmed that the characters will go to Constance Billard and St Judes Private Schools again, while also offering a preview of new sets and uniforms.
The new cast was also portrayed on Classic Dating Stages, where plenty of drama happened for the original cast of Gossip Girl, and there were a number of teasers as well. Since the show’s release, Twitter and Instagram accounts have been posting updates, as well as extras on the cast.
Deadline reported that the position of the new Gossip Girl series is as follows: “Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of private school teens in New York City are being introduced to social surveillance of Gossip Girl.” The prestige series will address how social media – and the New York City landscape itself – has changed in the meantime. “

Gigi was in Paris for Fashion Week at the time, but when she heard about it, she canceled the appearances and returned immediately. Apparently Gigi was on the phone with Zayn or Yolanda when the situation arose.

Chandra says the royal calculations add up if you count each of their events separately.
Camila Tominey, who is generally very pro-Cambridge, wrote an article in the Telegraph saying the Cambridges should forgo flying in private if they are serious about climate change. Additionally, Tominey pointed out that Kate left on Monday evening and that Will and Kate traveled separately. We wonder if Kate left the summit earlier than expected. We still don’t know where they went on vacation or if they went together. Plus, they didn’t have any hyped tracks afterwards like after Bond’s premiere.
Prince Andrew has filed a legal response to Virginia Giuffre’s trial in New York. His lawyers only returned it on the day it was due. He smeared Giuffre and pretended she was there for the money. Chandra explains that it took over a decade for Giuffre to even take possession of the FBI photo where she was posing with Andrew. The trial is scheduled for September next year and it is believed that Andrew’s daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, could sit for depositions. It would be a disaster for the monarchy if the trial went this far. We think Andrew should settle down.
Prince Harry has two events planned for next week, the Intrepid Valor Awards in New York on Wednesday, November 10, and a Wired Summit on Online Disinformation on Tuesday 9. Duchess Meghan is a guest speaker for the NY Times DealBook Summit, which will take place on November 9 and 10. We hope they both come to New York for that but we don’t know yet!
We also learned today that Duchess Meghan has called on some Republican senators to advocate for the removal of the paid family leave section in the infrastructure bill. She was able to obtain the private numbers of Republican senators, including Shelley Capito of West Virginia and Susan Collins of Maine. New York Senator Kristen Gillibrand admitted to giving Meghan the phone numbers and said she had told some senators in advance to let them know that Meghan would call them.

One possible way to counter those negative effects ? talking while watching the screen.
The more parents engaged in conversation with preschoolers during shared TV time, the more likely those children were to have higher curiosity levels when they reached kindergarten, a new study suggests. This was particularly true for children with socioeconomic disadvantages.
?Our findings reinforce the importance of parent conversation to promote early childhood development and curiosity, especially for children from under-resourced families,? said lead author Prachi Shah, M.D. M.S., a developmental and behavioral pediatrician at University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children?s Hospital.
?We know that more frequent parent-child conversation is promotive of several areas of early child development, and this could be true for promoting a child?s curiosity as well.?
Sitting in front of the TV alone or while parents are on their phones? Perhaps not so beneficial.
But watching a show, movie, or other content with parents while talking together could be associated with fostering a preschoolers? curiosity, Shah said.
Researchers assessed hours of daily television exposure and frequency of parent screen-time conversation among 1,500 preschoolers, and then measured early childhood curiosity in kindergarten. The findings appear in PLOS ONE.
The study specifically focused on curiosity levels, which Shah?s previous research has found is associated with enhanced learning and higher academic achievement in reading and math at kindergarten, and behavioral-developmental benefits, especially for children from families with lower socioeconomic status.
?Curiosity is an important foundation for scientific innovation, joy in learning and numerous positive outcomes in childhood,? Shah said. ?We want to better understand what fosters curiosity in early childhood, which could potentially identify ways to help mitigate the achievement gap associated with poverty.?
?Parent-child conversation facilitates children?s thinking, learning and exploration ? all behavioral indicators of curiosity,? she added.
Researchers analyzed data from the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study, Birth Cohort. The cohort is a nationally representative, population-based study sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education that has followed thousands of children since birth in 2001.
Curiosity was measured through parent questionnaires asking about characteristics of curiosity, such as eagerness to learn new things, a drive for novelty, an openness to new experiences, imagination, and adaptability to new situations among other behaviors.
While many young children are now growing up with digital media exposure through mobile devices like tablets and phones, televisions remain a dominant screen activity, accounting for 72% of all screen time. One possible way to counter those negative effects ? talking while watching the screen.
The more parents engaged in conversation with preschoolers during shared TV time, the more likely those children were to have higher curiosity levels when they reached kindergarten, a new study suggests. This was particularly true for children with socioeconomic disadvantages.
?Our findings reinforce the importance of parent conversation to promote early childhood development and curiosity, especially for children from under-resourced families,? said lead author Prachi Shah, M.D. M.S., a developmental and behavioral pediatrician at University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children?s Hospital.
?We know that more frequent parent-child conversation is promotive of several areas of early child development, and this could be true for promoting a child?s curiosity as well.?
Sitting in front of the TV alone or while parents are on their phones? Perhaps not so beneficial.
But watching a show, movie, or other content with parents while talking together could be associated with fostering a preschoolers? curiosity, Shah said.
Researchers assessed hours of daily television exposure and frequency of parent screen-time conversation among 1,500 preschoolers, and then measured early childhood curiosity in kindergarten. The findings appear in PLOS ONE.
The study specifically focused on curiosity levels, which Shah?s previous research has found is associated with enhanced learning and higher academic achievement in reading and math at kindergarten, and behavioral-developmental benefits, especially for children from families with lower socioeconomic status.
?Curiosity is an important foundation for scientific innovation, joy in learning and numerous positive outcomes in childhood,? Shah said. ?We want to better understand what fosters curiosity in early childhood, which could potentially identify ways to help mitigate the achievement gap associated with poverty.?
?Parent-child conversation facilitates children?s thinking, learning and exploration ? all behavioral indicators of curiosity,? she added.
Researchers analyzed data from the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study, Birth Cohort. The cohort is a nationally representative, population-based study sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education that has followed thousands of children since birth in 2001.
Curiosity was measured through parent questionnaires asking about characteristics of curiosity, such as eagerness to learn new things, a drive for novelty, an openness to new experiences, imagination, and adaptability to new situations among other behaviors.
While many young children are now growing up with digital media exposure through mobile devices like tablets and phones, televisions remain a dominant screen activity, accounting for 72% of all screen time. His new technology was recently detailed in a paper published in the science journal, APL Materials. The paper, ?Gold and silver nanocomposite-based biostable and biocompatible electronic textile for wearable electromyographic biosensors,? was co-authored by University of Utah chemical engineering graduate student, Taehwan Lim, and Sohee Lee from the Department of Clothing and Textiles at Gyeongsang National University in South Korea. Zhang and his team have devised a method of taking ordinary textile made of a cotton/polyester blend and turning the fabric into sensors that measure electrical impulses generated from muscle movement. This could become a much better solution in measuring muscle activity for physical rehabilitation or for other medical applications. Ordinarily, current bioelectrical sensor technology in which they tape sensors with wires to the skin can sometimes be ineffective, uncomfortable, expensive, and costly to manufacture.
?This new method can enable clinicians to collect a muscle?s long-term electrical signals with more precision,? says Zhang. ?And we can get a better understanding of a patient?s progress and therefore their therapeutic outcomes over time.?
When human muscle contracts, it emits electrical signals in the form of ions (as opposed to electrons from an electrically powered device). Zhang?s process involves depositing a microscopic layer of silver over a piece of fabric to make the material conductive and therefore receive the electrical signal from the muscle.
But having just a layer of silver is a problem since the metal can be somewhat toxic when in prolonged contact with the skin. So the researchers also deposit a second microscopic layer of gold, which is non-toxic to the touch. The gold not only protects the skin from the silver, but it also enhances the electrical signal, Zhang says.
?The silver layer provides a baseline conductivity, but the gold on top improves the signal and the biocompatibility, and it helps reduces the cost of manufacturing pure gold devices,? he says.
The silver layer is applied to the fabric in a process similar to screen printing a graphic onto a T-shirt, and it?s applied to just the areas of the clothing that touch the muscle being measured. Then the gold layer is deposited by an electrochemical method. The patches of sensors are then attached to wires and a portable electromyography (EMG) device that measures muscle contractions.
Just as important, the process is also resistant to repeated cycles in a washing machine, Zhang says. His team ran a piece of clothing treated with the process through 15 washes, and they didn?t affect the sensors? efficacy.
Currently, Zhang and his team have tested the method on a compression sleeve for the forearm. While this technology would mostly be used on compression sleeves or socks since it requires the clothing constantly touch the skin, Zhang imagines it could also be used for other skin-tight clothing such as bicycle pants or athletic tights.
This sensor-equipped clothing is yet another example of the popular trend of wearable technologies that constantly monitor your health throughout the day, such as the Apple Watch.
